Beauty will repair the world.
One instrument broken, one instrument repaired, brought together on a single base. From that gesture comes a series of sculptures: the signature work of L’Édifice Éternel — given, acquired, or offered for a cause.

What is kept wears away. What is given continues.

Two compositions
- 01
Two instruments Repair.
The principal composition, the one that has travelled stages and evenings. One instrument broken, one repaired, carried side by side on a single maple base signed by the maker’s hand. The break is not hidden: it is what gives the repair its meaning.
- 02
Three instruments Transmit.
The third instrument is the child. Two plus one: what has been repaired continues, and the future enters the work. It is the rarest version, made on request.

Where the workshave travelled.
For years these sculptures have left the workshop: handed over in person, acquired by collectors, given to public figures and institutions. Two moments kept in the archives.

Céline Dion
A two-instrument composition was presented to her. The signed photograph — “Pour Alain, merci!” — remained in the workshop archives.

Prince Albert II of Monaco
The work was shown at an evening event, then presented to Prince Albert II of Monaco. The signed base, the two instruments, the same story told in a few words.
Other pieces have been acquired by or given to patrons, collectors and public figures. Out of respect for their discretion, those recipients are not named here.
Three ways to receive one
The gift
Given to mark an encounter
The foundation gives these works to those who accompany its work: artists, patrons, institutions. It is not a protocol gift, but the mark of a shared commitment.
Acquisition
Acquired by a collector
A piece may be acquired, in wood or bronze, with its signed base. Every acquisition directly supports the restoration and lending of the collection’s instruments. Terms are discussed case by case.
The cause
Offered in aid of a cause
A sculpture can be entrusted to a charity sale or evening, for a musical, educational or humanitarian project chosen together. The work then lives up to its name twice over.
A piecemade for you.
Material · Real wooden instruments, or bronze.
Every sculpture is unique: the instruments within it have a history, the base is signed, and the composition is decided together — two instruments, or three.
A commission may come from an institution’s anniversary, an award ceremony, a tribute, or simply the wish to keep this idea close: what is broken can be repaired, and what is repaired can be passed on.
L’Édifice Éternel takes up this practice and continues it. Art, humanity, culture and transmission follow the same thread: what is repaired is given; what is given is passed on.
